The remake of ‘Nosferatu’

Add Your Heading Text HIt already has a release date in 2024 and a first look. Robert Eggers says that "it's going to scare the public"ere

The release date is funny because there is another highly anticipated horror movie scheduled that same day. Jordan Peele’s fourth work after ‘Nope’ will also be in theaters on December 25, 2024, which means that two ‘elevated’ horror films will compete at the box office. Nosferatu also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney and Willem Dafoe. Peter Kujawski, president of Focus Features, said:

“Robert Eggers’ bold filmmaking is always a treat for fans and we can promise his Nosferatu is planning a great Christmas party.”

Anya Taylor-Joy, a long-time collaborator of Eggers, was originally cast in the role of Ellen Hutter in 2016 but left the project due to scheduling conflicts. Harry Styles could also have been Thomas Hutter. Eggers discussed the film’s genre and Depp and Skarsgård’s performance as the vampire in a recent interview with Empire magazine:

“Lily is absolutely phenomenal. Bill has transformed so much that I’m afraid he doesn’t get the credit he deserves because he’s just… not there. He wanted to honor those who came before him. It’s all very subtle. But I think the main thing is that It’s even more of a folk vampire. And yes, Nosferatu is a horror movie. It’s a gothic horror movie, I think there hasn’t been a scary old school gothic movie in a while, and I think most audiences will find it. that this is the case.”
